Delicious 😋 service was on point. The atmosphere was excellent for us. Kids are welcome. Our food was hot and refills were on time. My French toast was gold star rated for me, eggs over medium, and the grits I'm in ❤️ 😍 love. I'll be back. I do recommend it to my family/friends worth every dollar you spend 😌 ☺️ ♥️☘️ .
Everything was fantastic from the single room school house to the staff. I tried the flight of grits and the biscuits and gravy. The server Nay Nay was very kind and took very good care of us. The only thing I would have wished is that the grits had a little more salt but with the clientele being older I can understand that they wouldn't go too heavy on the salt but there was some on the table and I was able to correct the issue easily. I would definitely come back especially for the Cajun Grits.
Went in for breakfast Monday morning with a couple of friends and I was greeted with a warm welcome. I saw the gentleman in there I recommended the place to for a great breakfast about 20 minutes prior and he thanked me for the recommendation. He said this will be his new stop when he comes in town for VA appointments. The food is absolutely amazing and so is the staff. Bring your appetite because there are very generous portions. If you leave hungry that’s your fault.
Found this Port Royal restaurant a few years back. The service and food was excellent then and it was excellent again today (3/12). Generous portions is the norm and the food was delicious. Service was courteous, polite, and attentive to any need. I make it a point to grab a bite here anytime I'm in town. Brought along a couple of friends and they share the sentiment.
I went in on Sept 2nd for brunch with my service K9. No issues. It's in an old 1 room schoolhouse. Very quaint. We were seated immediately. Our servers name was Anysa, she was friendly and attentive. She took care of all questions and needs. She was very good. The restaurant wasn't very busy. There were a few people inside. I got a coffee to drink the Country fried steak breakfast special, with eggs scrambled and a side order of biscuits and gravy. I'm from Maryland so grits are something we don't do in the North. So I actually tried them. They weren't bad. Food was good, but a tad expensive I thought. When visiting I always try and support small local businesses. Eat local!

You can tell they take pride in doing the basics really well. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Add in a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend if you’re in the Port Royal area and craving a great breakfast! 🥞🍳
We went to Griddle & Grits in Beaufort today for breakfast, and wow, what a great experience. Deb had the country fried steak and absolutely went to town on it. She loved every bite. I had the crab cake biscuit with grits, and all I can say is: okay people… the world’s greatest chef may have created these crab cakes. Crab cakes are one of my favorite things to eat, and this was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. It was so good that I had to get the chef’s name before we left so I could properly pay homage to Chef Maurice. And a special thank you to Mikaydyn for taking such great care of us. Great food, great people, and a breakfast we’ll definitely be talking about for a while.
We were staying on the sea islands and I found this on google. I love the quaint places off the busy areas. It was hard to get to because of construction in front of the restaurant which no fault to them. It was so worth the stop. The staff were so wonderful. The best southern hospitality. The food was so wonderful and large portions. My husband and I had some to take home. A beautiful place to eat visit and walk to see the Cypress Wetlands next door. A definite revisit. I love the beautiful people there.
This little hidden gem absolutely surprised me in the best way possible. The breakfast was outstanding — the pancakes were fluffy and full of flavor, the eggs cooked perfectly, and the sausage and potatoes had that homemade taste that makes you feel right at home. Every bite was fresh, hot, and delicious. The restaurant itself is a small, cute little building with a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to sit back and relax. It may be small in size, but it delivers BIG taste. Parking can be a little challenging right now because of the road construction nearby, but don’t let that stop you from visiting — it’s well worth it. Another huge bonus is the location right next to the Wetlands, which is an amazing place for birding and enjoying nature before or after your meal. Great food, cozy vibe, beautiful surroundings, and flavors that far exceed expectations. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again.
